Auto Draft

Aug. 2011

We are within a couple of weeks of breaking ground on our first house to be for sale in the Alanna Heights subdivision.

This is a beautiful little subdivision located just off Highway 16 just a few miles south of Loop 1604. We are featuring custom homes on lots that are right at 1 acre, wooded, and easy access to San Antonio to the north and the burgeoning commerce south toward Poteet, Pleasanton, and Jourdanton.

Our first project will be a 3/4 stucco and stone home, approximately 1943 sq. ft. living, 3-2-2 with an open floor plan, tile floors in the main areas, custom cabinets, granite tops, and other upgrades. We are a custom home bulder and this house will be built to the standards that homeowners have come to expect from a true custom home.

This home should be ready for move-in in about 6 months.

We are just getting started in this location and have many other lots to choose from, and we would be more than happy to help you select a lot and build the home of your dreams. We have design capabilities and can help you with financing also.

New Custom Homes in the San Antonio Area

The first quarter has seen a lot of interest and we have closed several projects which are well underway. Pricing seems to be holding steady although we have seen some material cost increases (which baffles me in light of the national figures for home sales).   Land prices are also holding steady, although very little new inventory of new lots are being generated, and current inventory is steadily being drawn down. What the impact of this will be will depend on what happens in the housing market over the next year.

I am still very bullish on the South Texas economy, and recent activity in the oil and gas industry just south of  San Antonio looks to be poised to increase economic activity considerably.

Interest rates are at historical lows, and if you are relocating to the San Antonio Texas or the surrounding area, having a custom home built to your specifications is a very good value.  New home prices are holding steady plus you have the warranties that you typically don’t get buying an existing home.

I hope to begin posting pictures of our newer projects as we get a little farther along in the process.

Interest in Custom Homes Way Up.

Wow, things are beginning to really pick up in Wilson County, just south of San Antonio.

Home Sales Hit New National Low

San Antionio and South Texas Sales remain strong despite nationwide downturn. South Texas continues to have low foreclosers and increaing values.
